Ali Iskan Toptanc
The Board is a non-profit, self-regulatory, voluntary body engaged in the promotion of Islamic Finance in North America.
Ali Iskan Toptanc is a researcher and analyst. He holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey. He has fifteen years of experience in Islamic law, Islamic economics, Islamic finance, and global economics as an experienced macroeconomist and international economist.
Toptanc was introduced to Islamic studies at a young age; he received training in Arabic, Kurdish, Fiqh (jurisprudence), and Hadith from leading Naqshbandi scholars in Turkey.
Toptanc began his career as a freelance macroeconomist, conducting analyses in global, agricultural, and oil economics. His interest in Islamic law and Islamic economics led him to conduct more in-depth research in these areas. He currently works as a Shariah Research Analyst at the Islamic Finance Advisory Board and shares his experience through active research in Islamic law, Islamic economics, and Islamic finance.
